Were your child’s products recalled in the past two months?

On Behalf of | Mar 27, 2019 | Firm News

In March, 2019 the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled dozens of products and many of them could be within your child’s reach. Unfortunately, children’s toys are in high demand which often causes manufacturers to make dangerous shortcuts to make a deadline or a bottom line.

When manufacturers put their profits above your child’s safety, they break the law. The CPSC releases recalls to defective products for your safety and that of your child.

What children’s products were recalled in March 2019?

The following are toys or children’s products that the CPSC recalled due to safety concerns:

  • Children’s light-up globe by Bulk Unlimited: recalled due to fire hazard from faulty wires
  • WIC Nutrition plates by Brush Art: recalled due to incorrect label of “microwave-safe”
  • Aroma Home USB Heating pads: recalled due to fire and burn hazard
  • JumpSport mini trampoline: recalled due to injury hazard when folding
  • Crate and Barrel acrylic milk bottles: recalled due to faulty straw that can lacerate a child
  • Target unicorn toddler boots: recalled due to choking hazard from detachable parts
  • Fischer-Price child Power Wheels barbie camper: recalled due to faulty accelerator pedal

These are only some of the many products recalled in March and February of 2019. Others include products (including a gun safe) with faulty child-resistant locks or sports equipment that can burn or injure the user.

If you find any recalled product in your home, you should remove it from your child’s reach or use immediately. Some stores or manufacturers will send replacement or repair kits. Others will offer full refunds if you return or destroy the product.

Whenever a device manufacturer fails to identify safety risks, they are endangering the health and well-being of children everywhere. If you or a loved one suffered as a result of a faulty or defective product, learn about your legal options. You may be entitled to compensation.
