A recent report from WalletHub points to Albuquerque being a rather dangerous place to drive.
The report compared America’s 100 largest cities in four different categories related to driving. These categories are: safety, traffic & infrastructure, access to vehicles & maintenance and cost of ownership & maintenance.
In most of the categories, Albuquerque was near the middle of the pack. The one big exception to this was the safety category. Unfortunately, Albuquerque was almost at the very bottom in this measure. It was ranked 98th for safety, with only Detroit and St. Louis being behind it.
Albuquerque’s poor safety rank was a big contributor to it being ranked 76th in the report for how good of a city it is, overall, for drivers.
